'Why We Love Our Home'
Firstly, we love that it is in a good spot within easy access to just about everywhere and a short walking distance to Lane Cove central and all its conveniences. We love the village atmosphere and hence, our decision 20 odd years ago to make No. 8 Kimberley a wonderful experience to raise our three children while we both worked from home.
Our home is much more than the sum of its parts; generally being our office - the heart of our practice, the active living and entertaining areas and the passive areas for nurture, rest and renewal. It has been a 'home away from home' for family and visitors from far and near. It has also served as a regular hang out for my children and their friends as they thrived from primary schoolers to young adults. Hours of fun was had playing hide and seek, jamming sessions or performing mini recitals. Hearing the piano being played while preparing or consuming a meal in our home is something we truly treasure.
Everlasting memories of many a birthday, Xmas, New Year & milestone celebration were made here. Our home is often the first venue of choice for a gathering as the indoor and outdoor areas provide for either large or small groups. It is perfect for entertaining with the two kitchens allowing us to bake and cook up a storm. For quiet times, our home is a haven for a peaceful escape.
The gardens and soothing sight and sound of water from the ornamental ponds never fail to provide serenity and inspiration. Whilst looking forward to downsizing to a new home, we will be leaving this special place with more than a tinge of sadness. It has given and held so many treasured moments for us. On that note, we do hope our precious home will continue to provide you with your own set of special memories and you will appreciate all the features that were perfect for us at No. 8 - to live, work, play, chill, nourish, thrive and treasure.
